NatureLock was founded by Anthony Perrone in 2025. He moved to Louisville, KY, from Southern California in 2015, and in 2021, he became a firefighter. On the job, he quickly realized that first responders are exposed every day to chemicals, VOCs, soot, and unpleasant odors — invisible hazards that accumulate over time and affect their health. Yet much of the protective gear available contains harmful chemicals and offers only short-term protection, with little consideration for the long-term well-being of the wearer or the environment.

This realization stayed with him. In a world where every breath carries pollutants and microplastics, Anthony saw that protective equipment could either contribute to the problem or help reduce it. Motivated by a desire to make a difference for his fellow firefighters, the community, and the planet, he founded NatureLock.

NatureLock delivers personal protective equipment crafted from eco-friendly, sustainably sourced, and consciously chosen materials. Each component is tested to ensure it is effective, safe, and compostable. For Anthony, this work is deeply personal—every mask and piece of gear reflects a simple belief: it’s possible to protect people, care for neighbors, and honor the planet, all without compromise.
